On Friday 18th June, Nova-Caine Music gathered the punk community in London’s best live music venue: The Luminaire Club for the Punks Play for Autism gig to raise awareness of autism and fundraise for The Autism Trust. During the evening over £1000 was raised for The Autism Trust as well as extensive awareness of both the charity and autism itself.
Headlining the event were Wolverhampton’s The Razorbax; a talented group who had the crowd on their feet throughout their set. Supporting the Razorbax were self proclaimed drunk-punks The Write-offs and the incredibly talented Sam Moloney. Nova-Caine said, ‘Through-out [The Razorbax’s] original core fan base they have fans that have autism or who’s children have autism, these core fans helped spread awareness of the band… the band feel it would be nice to give something back.’ The Razorbax release their debut single ‘Better Place’ in the forthcoming weeks with all proceeds being donated to The Autism Trust.
